ZombieApocalypse

Everything has gone to hell

Petty politics, armed rebels balkanizing our proud homeland, the shining cities of the past turned into burning ruins, annexed by our former neighbors. What is left of the democratic revolution, of the dawn of a new age for our country?

Nothing of this still matters. We're the last who survived the proverbial Revelation, the ressurection of the dead. Maybe we are the last humans left on earth. Surviving the next days is all that matters now. We need to trust each other, or we're doomed.

Zombie Apocalypse is a post-apocalyptic roleplaying game set in 21st century eastern Europe after the name-giving return of the flesh-eating dead. The players assume the role of a group of survivors on their way to whereever they hope to find shelter, safety and maybe even a cure for whatever has happened.

Why play

Because it's not about slashing through hordes of zombies. Killing the dead, like killing the living, is a neccessity and utmost dangerous. It's a fight you can't win. And it's a fight you never intended to get into in the first place.

Because it's a game about what makes us human. Isolated and torn, the group of survivors has to resort to desperate measures, but they're not inhuman monsters - yet.

Because it's about drama. The survivor's are unlikely allies. Your average Joe or Jane, brought together by fate and by no means prepared for what's waiting out there for them.

How to play

Get some friends together, a group of four to five including yourself works best. One of will take the role of the Game Master (GM), the others will play the Survivors.

Print out all playbooks, playmats and reference sheets and make sure every player has pencils, paper, and two dice at hand. Glass beads or poker chips of different colors also come in handy if you want to represent the group's Resources in a tangible way.

As a player, you'll only need the information laid out in the Playing the Game chapter of the book (just skimming it will suffice as long as you understand the basic mechanics paragraph) and whatever information is given in your chosen Playbook. As a GM, you're advised to read the whole book to be well prepared for everything that will come your way through the course of the game.
